Officers'-Meeting Minutes 5.7.10

[emailed to group 5.10.2010]
***A question that frequently arises in the officers' meeting is: How do members come across our club? So please send a line or two to me, regarding:

How did you find our club? The web? If so, what site or forum? A friend? Someone at work? A poster? Someone or something else?

Knowing the answer to this question helps the officers direct the clubs' recruitment and p.r. efforts.
So please send me a reply and I'll send it on to the rest of the officers. This set of questions comes up frequently in our meetings, and it'd be great to hear directly from each of you. Thank you.

Meeting minutes

Friday May 7, 2010

Palo Alto Cafe, Middlefield Road across from the CVS, 7am to 750am

Attending; Giselle, Stephanie, Ericka, Kathleen, Eileen, Nik

1) Thanks to the success of our recruitment efforts (spearheaded by Ericka, Giselle, and Stephanie), we need more mentors.
Please do consider becoming a mentor. You don't need much experience in the club, and it's a gratifying way to lend a hand while clarifying for your own self what makes for a good speech, strong presentation, and potently fulfilled role. I've attached the mentor guidelines, prepared by Stephanie, our v.p. of education.

2) Elections are around the corner. Here again, you don't need much experience with the club, not least because Toastmasters organizes training sessions to help orient newly-elected officers in their roles. Being an officer also gives you some extra opportunities for speaking-up at meetings.

3) Welcome to our new members.
